The making of the Nuremberg Chronicle 1493 - Latin Edition

The original book pages were approximately 19 inches tall by 13 inches wide.  We decided to respect these dimensions in the facsimile edition.  We wanted to recreate the book as it would have appeared in the 15th century.  The binding style is historically accurate.  The book does not have a hollow back as modern books do.

Once the leather is in place, the bands will appear as they do in the thumbnail image.
